The funny thing is, you can’t recycle pizza boxes. If paper is impregnated with oil it cannot be recycled, otherwise it will contaminate the whole batch.
Recycling is supposed to be the last resort. Reduce, Re-use, Recycle. We should be re-using glass for most things and avoiding plastic except where necessary.
Hell, the whole paper straw bullshit only came about because the plastic industry has become so ridiculously excessive. Not because of plastic pollution, not because paper is a better product, but because plastic has become so expensive that shitty paper straws are more profitable.
