The OG FFVII is not my favourite in the series either, and like you was there for the release and have finished it multiple times since. But, how I feel about that doesn’t mean it’s not loved by majority of fans who had been asking for a remake for over a decade.
Either way I loved Remake and I’m incredibly excited by this announcement and look at Rebirth.
If this remake series didn’t take 20 years to complete i might be interested. I don’t even mind it being a new game+
FF7 was a great game. I was there when it came out and I replayed it only god knows how many times…
