    For me it took something a little stronger (psychedelics), but yes I agree. They’re afraid that these substances will give people some perspective.

      In the Nixon era, throwing people in jail for drugs was about suppressing hippies and black people.

      Now, it’s likely more about campaign contributions from privatized prisons. It’s profitable to throw someone in jail for something stupid and keep them there for as long as possible.
