Ah, and now this account posts a door dash advertisement.

An effective way to stay poor is to spend your money on expensive, greasy, salty food that will send you to an early grave.

Picard Maneuver - posts hundreds of memes for no other reason than to provide content for fledgling communities and helping Lemmy get off the ground and not appear stale, some of said content clearly having to include the name of a brand as part of the content

Awwwyissss, who has done absolutely fuck all in the way of providing content to help Lemmy retain users - oH MeR GeRD Is tHiS gUy aDveRtIsInG !?!

Hey, thanks for sticking up for me back here, friend. I had thought this person was joking and moved on, so I didn’t see this thread the other day.

I only scrolled back tonight because the same person showed up under a different post accusing me of being paid by oreos or something now, and I remembered this one. Weird.

I don’t need to post to call out BS, and I’ve been an active user for a while now. ThePicardManeuver has repeatedly posted advertisments so I’m calling them out.

I just scrolled through their posts. There are way more unbranded memes than there are branded ones. Like a 10 or 15 to 1 ratio, if not more

Yeah that’s how they work. If it was all ads they’d be easy to spot, so they throw in a bunch of reposts to look legit and build karma.
