I’m hoping I won’t get accused of returning too much under the ACL.

In 2020, returned a laptop after 5 months after the RAM went bad. Then got the new one replaced a month later for a similar issue. The replacement has been going strong since then.

In 2021, returned a Samsung watch after 3 weeks when the o2 sensor burnt my wrist. JB Hifi also raised a personal injury report.

In 2022 bought a gaming mouse. Scroll wheel stopped working properly nearly a year later. Got it replaced… Now 5 months later the power switch is not working properly so it keeps turning off at the worst possible times during fights.

Two years ago, got a refund for my son’s gaming headphones (9 months old). One speaker just died.

Last year I returned two Nintendo switch controllers due to drifting issues. Got new ones.

This year I’ve replaced a PS5 controller, due to drifting issues (it was 10 months old). About to replace another PS5 controller due to drifting issues (this one is 8 months old).

Shit happens and as customers we are entitled to replacements when reasonable.

I tell you I swear they don’t build anything to last anymore. 1 year life span on stuff like this is appalling :(

I mean, I don’t think that seems like too much by far, but I do wonder about your tech choices! What mouse did you get that’s being jank?

Before all this, had some logitech wired gaming mouse for 4 years. Still works good, but the cord is too hard lol.

First one was Corsair Darkcore RGB. Scroll wheel malfunctioned so I can’t swap out the healing staff for the pistol quickly, and it was hard to scroll documents at work.

Second/current one is Steelseries Aerox 3 wireless.

Logitech’s my go-to with mice so I’m relieved yours was fine hahaha. That’s a bit yikes for both other brands, though. Corsair are great in my experience for keyboards (logitech are NOT), but mice… yeah.

Have you considered one of the wireless logitech mice? I just upgraded from a… I think it was a G403 to the very similar in appearance but better in specs Logitech G Pro after I decided the side of the old one was getting too worn out. I know there’s a few others people rec, but I have tiny hands, so I like small mice.

On the last point, I swear these so called gaming noises are literally just the cheapest shittiest components they can find… But WITH LIGHTING!11!1!!111!1! I was gifted what seemed like a fairly nice alienware mouse, was like 80 bucks, thought it was pretty cool. It has this weird button below the scroll wheel which I think changes the sensitivity or something. Pull it up a few times, mouse go slow, push it down a few times and I’m zooming around like nobody’s business

6 months in, it kinda died. I can still adjust it, but it randomly sends me into max speed mode and I’m trying to click a button and all of a sudden my mouse is in another continent

Yeah the button below the scrollerwheel is a DPI setting. I had a cougar mouse and like less than a year later the scroller wheel craps out. PC Case Gear sent out a new one (they couldn’t fix it), new one works fine but a few months ago it’s crapped out again, scroller wheel again. So I bought a Logitech one. Only had it for maybe two or three months, but so far works pretty good. I don’t have any major complaints about Logitech, they’ve really stepped up their game recently.
