I don’t understand A24. Hereditary was a borderline comedy, Uncut Gems and EEAAO would work better as 20 minute shorts, and nothing happened in The Witch. They’re like the Marvel of hipster movies.

Little harm done. My tastes never seem to line up with the main stream, but I don’t shame anyone for loving Marvel or The Master of Disguise.

Those movies are far from being obscure, but far from being mainstream as well.

But eh, in the end, it’s all entertainment.

Sounds like you’ve watched all the superhero movies though so don’t get too cocky.

Uncut Gems and EEAAO felt too long at times but I think it was worth it in both cases.

For context, I prefer movies that are funny, have guns or lasers, or have magic or some shit. I have no taste when it comes to film.

I love your honesty. I love Hardcore Henry but I’m not going to argue it’s a narrative wonder. It’s just my flavor of stupid insane.

Put Brad Pitt and people with funny accents in a movie and I’ll probably be glued to it.

If I want something fully engaging I read.
