Australians have resoundingly rejected a proposal to recognise Aboriginal people in its constitution and establish a body to advise parliament on Indigenous issues.

Saturday’s voice to parliament referendum failed, with the defeat clear shortly after polls closed.

I was talking about indigenous people’s rights. but you successfully deflected

What rights do you think Indigenous people here don’t have exactly? They have all the same rights as everyone else lol. This isn’t about “indigenous rights”, never was. You very clearly do not understand what this referendum was actually about.

Most of us No voters actually wanted MORE for indigenous people. We wanted more than just a shitty advisory panel that has no powers and can and will be ignored like the dozen other existing and previous indigenous advisory boards. You clearly don’t know anything about this issue so maybe stop trying to force your uneducated foreign views on it.
