The Soviet Union collapsed and China isn’t a superpower. Their economic rise started the very moment Deng Xaioping reformed the Chinese economy to introduce capitalism in the late 70s. Under Mao, where China was truly Marxist down to the letter, the country saw the worst atrocities in human history with nothing to show for it.
