In perhaps the most bizarre race that Middle Tennessee has ever experienced, Franklin voters resoundingly rejected a mayor candidate who openly embraced white supremacists and Christian nationalism.
Real Estate has historically been a relatively safe investment platform compared to other options, so you have a large concentration of people who think they are entitled to a massive ROI with basically no effort or risk on their part.
And if there’s any group of people that think they are entitled to sit on their ass and rake in the money after reaching a certain level of success, it’s conservatives.
It’s much more accurate to call it, exploiting poor people’s basic needs to get ahead. But of course then you’d be reminding them they aren’t the goody two shoes they like to cosplay as. Can’t have that.

And, obviously, just forget about actual property unless you’re solidly middle class.
Why does this sound like slavery?
