A fun fact I like to share with people is back when I worked at Bass Pro, I would get a lot racist comments about how we partnered with a Japanese (they didn’t use the word Japanese, I’ll leave it at that) truck company (Toyota). I would then have to let them know that Toyota at the time was the only company that qualified as an “American” automaker because more then 50% of their production and supply chain was from the USA. Chevy, Ford, and Dodge didn’t meet the Bass Pros qualifications for an American truck company and thus were automatically disqualified from partnerships.
