    Make it five 6-day weeks and twelve 30-day months, you got yourself a deal. If we want to fit the moon thing like in OP a month needs to be ~29.5 days and 30 would be closest. Twelve months also allows us to keep lining months up with seasons and use quarters for stuff.

    • To be clear for anyone who isn’t familiar, the ~28 days vs ~30 days thing comes from the number of days it takes to complete an orbit vs the number of days it takes for the sun to be in the same relative position, respectively. Historically, calendars have followed the latter because that’s what dictates what phase the moon is in. The discrepancy happens because the earth is orbiting the sun at the same time the moon is orbiting the earth.

      Sure, five six day weeks or even six five day weeks. There are a lot more options when your prime factors don’t include ugly numbers like 13 and 7.
