Unless you live in some extremely closed off bubble, it is common knowledge at this point that China is going through the worst demographic collapse in human history. It is unprecedented in both scale and speed. The signs of the demographic collapse started all the way back in the 1980s with the one child policy and it has been becoming clearer and clearer what’s to come for China every year.

There are a few indisputable facts that even the CCP admits:

      1. China has a gender of imbalance where there are about 30 million more men than women.

      2. China has the lowest birth rates in the world and it is continuously dropping.

      3. China’s population is officially shrinking, and that includes its workforce

      4. It is one of the fastest aging countries in the world

      5. China has virtually no immigration

China’s economic model which relies continuous growth from cheap labor. With less people and rising standards of living, that means people want to get paid more, and they do, Chinese workers several times more now than before which means they’re losing the competitive edge that made the rise possible to begin with. This coupled with rising debt due to overspending on infrastructure and an increasingly stressed welfare system, the signs are all pointing to an inevitable collapse.

As the old get older, they stop contributing to the economy, they stop paying taxes, they start costing the in pensions and healthcare costs. This is normally fine if there are a lot of young people to take over, but with an inverted population pyramid there aren’t any young people left. The ones that are there have to keep the whole system in place. They are over worked, over taxed, and stressed. Young people in China are so burnt out that the country is having a massive problem with them quiet quitting.

Countries like Germany and Sweden managing to get by due to immigration, countries like Japan and Italy are managing to get by taking on ever increasing debt. China is not wealthy and not an attractive destination for immigrants. Even if it were, there aren’t enough immigrants to fill the void. China is truly past the point of no return.

By 2030, China is going to have more retirees than workers. Do you even begin to comprehend what kind of consequences that would have? This isn’t even into account how the Chinese government literally admitted that they overcounted their population by around 100 million since 1980, which means that all of the problems that I’ve stated so far are even worse than we thought and China’s population most likely peaked a decade ago. We are witnessing China’s final decade as an economic power in its current form.

This isn’t something that happens overnight, and you claiming that the fact that it isn’t means that it’s fake isn’t the gotcha you think it is because it’s not going to change the reality.

It’s no conspiracy, just look at the shift in China-US relations just recently. But no, it must just be propaganda!
