si world din is trying to improve it, pero sobra dami users (biggest lemmy instance) so hirap sila sa overloading. kaya mas maganda ma-balance un dami ng users. post sila siguru like when new users tries to sign up sa world, it would suggest to try muna sa ibang instance

Yeah people have to understand that with federation, users should spread out on different instances and not just join the biggest one there is since it doesn’t work that way here, unlike on reddit. It’s not like they won’t see the content from other instances, that’s why federation exists so that the load is spread out to multiple instances. But oh well, that might be so easy to grasp for some.

One thing that I think has catapulted the amount of people flocking to lemmy.world is the reputation of the instance as being run by competent people as well as having a very decent uptime especially compared to other large instances at the time of the Reddit blackouts.

People just want to be on an instance that’s trustworthy and reliable. Thus, I kind of understand why people just piled onto Lemmy.world. Besides, a lot of them just got redirected to Lemmy.world by well-meaning people who just wanted to keep things simple–simple for the refugees who just wanted simple instructions (without having to choose an instance with everything that entails).
