I’m talking about those that play the same games 2 or more times. You already know how the game plays and you know how the story goes. Wouldn’t you rather spend that time playing a new game? I’ve only got so much time to play and a I have huge backlog. I never found myself picking an game I’ve played already over a new one. I’d like to know your thoughts.
Sometimes it’s a case of skill and mastery. The game might still be hard, or the higher level of skill developed may allow for different play styles, or because it’s pretty fun to style on things that used to give you difficulty. Sometimes like a book, film or TV show the story or the artistry might remain enjoyable. I’m also generally of the opinion that if a story relies on you not knowing what will happen for engagement then it wasn’t very good on the first place.
