Falcom has announced The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki – Farewell, O Zemuria, the 20th anniversary title in its Trails RPG series. It will launch for unspecified platforms in 2024 in Japan.
I haven’t played either of the Daybreak games yet, but they already had smartphones and such by the end of Cold Steel. So it’s probably not a huge leap.
You probably right, and wellbig machines all the time. Sometimes it seems just less modern, sometimes more. That’s probably just me having everything in mind that is more fantasy or more wild
Liberl certainly felt like a backwater at times. Not a lot of tech in some of the cities, but still somehow also the first in the world to have an airship. 🤷♂️
Rapid modernization is one of the major themes of the series anyway.
