Looks like Berkeley took this day off back in 1980. I guess we can cut him some slack since the comic had only been running for a couple of weeks and he was still getting his feet under him. Matter of fact, why not support him by purchasing a cool Opus mug or something else!

Rick’s Pet Shop in Frederick Maryland has a life sized Bill the Cat plush that I always wanted and offered to buy from Rick.
This one?.. You can find 'em in good condition on eBay for $60-80.

Back when I lived in Maryland and looking at them after seeing Rick’s, they were going for over $200 and were few and far between. I went as far as to write a letter to Berkeley and ask if he might still have one for sale. ACK! I am excited.
I don’t think I’ve seen one of those in years. My dad had one that rode in the back of one of his old Beetles. Don’t know why, but it always made me happy to see Bill hanging out back there, even before I knew where he came from, with an old plush panda looking out the back window that had a pair of lights in its eyes tied into the turn signal.
