    I personally think it’s an unethical reason to fire someone. But I think our culture still is very ashamed of sex work and I do understand how businesses and education administors would want to avoid the PR of having someone on staff that’s also a sex worker.

    I don’t agree that it’s ethical. But I do understand the reasoning behind it.

      it depends on the job.

      If one is the janitor, or a professor, whatever. If you’re literally the face of an organization (this guy), then this guy’s extracurricular activities being socially unacceptable (even if we’re puritanical prudes) impacts the reputation of that organization; and it’s a perfectly acceptable to swap out your representative for a fresh babyface when the old one turns.
