Maybe as the world has leaned in even harder on the absurd, that the Far Side absurdity doesn’t land anymore. Or it could be that we’re all older and realize how absurd the rest of reality is. Sorta like how The Onion has to hit pretty hard now to manage satire in the last 8-10 years.

It seems that as I get older I get Larson less and less. I think I just follow for the nostalgia value now.
That’s unfortunate. You should never let go of the absurd, it’ll keep you going well into old age.
