I’ve been wondering the same, and my conclusion is rather alarming: a new axis of evil has formed between Iran, Russia, and North Korea. Russia shat the bed, so Iran is increasingly taking the lead. The troubles off the coast of Yemen are a product of that. China is the wild card here, but they certainly want to make a play for Taiwan and are just waiting for the right time… so, yeah, we seem to be heading for another global conflict. I hope I’m wrong.
