edit - the original title was “Are Picture Uploads Allowed or Not?”

I know pic uploads weren’t allowed and a file size message would appear.

I forgot and made a post earlier today with a pic (PNG). There was no error but the pic didn’t appear. I updated the post with a link to the picture hosted elsewhere (pixelfed.social).

Before this post I created a test post with another picture (JPG) and it uploaded and displayed. (edit - I deleted the post).

I added the same test picture to this post.

    I see the down votes.

    I assume picture uploads are not allowed but are somehow happening. This post was to inform the mods and see if there was a policy change.
