Really? So it’s not even playing in the default Lemmy UI? Wonder if it’s an instance issue then. It’s a direct link to a video file.

I’m on Jerboa. There isn’t even a thumbnail, just the square with the chain link in it. I click on it, or the link in the post, and it takes me to the site (which I’ve never heard of before) via my Firefox for Android browser (so it is no longer subject to instances), and that is what is in place of where the video should be.

I hadn’t heard of it before researching files hosts when coming to Lemmy, but have no idea what’s causing your problem.

Well, that sucks. I really wanted to see it. I’m pretty sick of my current lemmy experience. Jerboa sucks, and my instance is lame. I’ve just been too busy with other things to figure out which app is better and migrate instances.

Yeah, I just installed Voyager because I’m just done with Jerboa always being broken. The link is still broken (won’t load) on Voyager, too, and your direct link here still doesn’t work on Firefox (the only extension I use is uBlock Origin). What type of video file is it??

What in the world? Maybe your adblocking is just too strict or something. The direct link goes directly to an mp4 video file. The other link brings you to the websites streaming player.

Ugh I give up. My ad blocking isn’t that strict. I have never had this issue with any other video platform, including Youtube, and I don’t get ads at all on YouTube. So, if my ad blocker is what is breaking it, then I wouldn’t trust it to begin with.
