    so on a scale of “meme or fact”, how factual is this image?

    I don’t doubt the take on people who fly it now, I mean as far as fact-checking each description per flag.

      It’s all correct, except maybe for the claim about it first becoming popular with Confederate veterans in 1904. Haven’t heard that one before.
