Why? I would be violating all of the core beliefs I have by voting for Biden, and I would be violating them by voting for Trump. I’ll probably vote third party and everyone else should too.
Your core beliefs require that, in a situation where one of two people can take office, you will not vote for the one that means less people die, so that you get to feel pure. Weird flex, burning the commons to make a good feeling in yourself,but you do you.
Doesn’t help that the US uses first past the post voting instead of ranked choice. You usually have to pick who you hate least, rather than who you like most.
It does not in the slightest help, no. But it is worth noting that even here you can see differences in the parties - one of them keeps trying to strip voting rights from people, put minimal polling places into high density areas, etc.
