And the problem is, hanggang logo lang sila :(

Not an expert, but I’ve recently been fascinated with the concept and read (sparsely) on it.

You’ve got to have a consistent logo and branding. And sometimes, they don’t even converse with the client. I know there are horor clients out there, but it is impossible to get shit done properly without knowing what the company is about, what is significant to them in terms of values. Hell, some even go research competing companies’ logos just to come up with a logo and branding design that can convince them essentially that “hell, sa logo pa lang na to, talo na ung competition nyo”.

A well designed, well-thought out, communicable brand and design is not necessarily expensive, but definitely should be bang for your buck.

Take a look at Apple, McD’s, Nike, etc. Hell even National Geographic’s logo is so simple and yet almost anyone who sees that yellow rectangle instantly knows who this is and what they’re about.

Considering the disaster of a PAGCOR logo, for 3 million, AT LEAST do some research on the damn company, culture and history. This is what happens when there is no “peer review” and you throw designs willy nilly and see what sticks.

Sucks to be the graphic designer, but you have to admit, the 3mm makes it suck less.
