As I said in my comment, I didn’t know about the content of the game. I don’t mean to come across as such. I apologize for the misunderstanding, I don’t mean to defend the developer or the game or the content within it, I just wanted to info dump about the subject itself.

Now that’s done, let’s talk about the fact you moderate /r/NoahGetTheBoat on reddit-logo, a sad sad place where fash are roaming free and racism and transphobia are commonplace.

I guess my question is, what’s up with that ?

This user is clearly someone who LOVES Hanlon’s Razor, so much in fact that they seem to want to stay ignorant about the topic they were engaging in just so they could play the fool. In short, you’re talking with someone who subscribes to the “see no evil” theory of moderation, make of that what you will.

        That? Easy.

The racism and transphobia dropped majorly when I came on, up to and including instabans and heavily edited automod rules to remove 90% of the content that was previously being posted which broke the subs rules (including the aforementioned content, agenda posting, and more)

I left reddit a few months back, and I couldn’t tell you one way or another where things went after that.

I can’t claim I handled it all, of course. There was one other majorly active mod, though I won’t name them. And I don’t claim we were able to remove all of the content, since we could only remove what was reported or that we ourselves saw.

I’m happy to talk more on modding that community if you like. It was an experience, to say the least. The number of ways people got around the automod rules was infuriating.
