Families often spend thousands a year on childcare so every bit of help will come as welcome relief

A HMRC scheme helps families get up to £4,000 to help with childcare costs. A reminder has been issued about the scheme to parents ahead of the October half-term.

School holiday clubs, breakfast or after-school clubs, childminders and nurseries can all be financed with Tax-Free Childcare. Families with children under 11 can get a discount of up to £2,000 on childcare bills, or £4,000 if their child is disabled.
