At their benefit show at the Silverlake Conservatory of Music yesterday, the Red Hot Chili Peppers decided to play Out in LA for the first time in almost 20 years (and over 30 years since they played it regularily. Also on the setlist there was Havana Affair, which they last played in 2007.
As the first song they wrote together back in 1982, this song is a symbol of their friendship and I think it’s beautiful that they played it now more than 40 years later after everything that happend in their history, from Hillel and Jack to John and Chad.
