It’s easy to see where the wind is blowing. Israel is increasingly being seen as a symbol of the West and Western values (women’s rights, lgbt safe haven etc) in a region strongly hostile to those things. So the West is in turn backing them harder than ever.

They are considered terrorists by Syria, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahreïn and E.A.U but not France. So no Darmanin was not accusing Benzema of having ties with a terrorist organization. And the tweet El Mundo quote is even more stupid, it says : “Muslim Brotherhood is considered a terrorist organization in Europe” and no again it is not. Only Austria classify them as terrorist, the EU does not and the Muslim Brotherhood is notorious for having powerful lobbies in Brussels.
