I guess I will kick things off here:
An omnibenevolent god would never condone and regulate the enslavement of your fellow man. Therefore, the Old Testament contradicts the claim that The Bible was written or divinely inspired by an omnibenevolent god.
It’s our job to evolve, it’s not gods job to come and solve our problems.
The problem, though, is that The Bible instructs people on how to conduct slave trading. It also tells slaves to obey even the most brutal slave owners.
Its a test. Solve that problem human
I’ve never lived in a country where slave trading is considered legal or ethical, so that’s done and dusted. The problem is that the Bible condoned and regulated the enslavement of your fellow man.
As an atheist, the solution is easy. God either doesn’t exist, or he’s not necessarily omnibenevolent.
Bible is written by man who claim they are gods word
Then it sounds like you’re on my side of this debate lol. You seem to agree that the Bible could not have been written by an omnibenevolent God.
But I don’t understand how you can claim to know about God without the Bible or the churches who proclaim it’s message.
Debate? What debate? Lol
I’m.drunk most.of the time.
Clearly. 🤦🏼♀️
