Honestly, AWS had all the resources i need, and at my fingertips for setting up a full stack fediverse instance. on top of that, the dashboarding is beyond awesome for viewing all of that nonsense in an appropriate timeframe.
im paying about 1$/day total for my 51 aws/ec2/etc services to run my instance with 5 users.
there is a learning curve with every environment. my only complain is cost. you pay for all this convenience. oh, and the lack of granularity in VM resources… i cant choose 6Gb of ram??
smtp/cloudfront…trivial scalability. i both hate and love aws
