Richard Roundtree, the movie star who originated the role of detective John Shaft in the blaxploitation classic, died Tuesday of pancreatic cancer.

      Performed this with a college acaplla group live ( just once as it took a long time to learn and get good). The long instrumental intro… thre crowd was completely silent because most didn’t know it in the late 90s. One guy in the back of the concert hall just started screaming. Yes! Yes! Yeaaah!

    Dude was a icon of singularity. Rare is it to have such an affect on your chosen profession. Forever much respect. His movies hold up to time and are full of so much influence. I am glad he lived a long life. Dude will forever be an icon of bad assery!
