The death of Armita Geravand comes after her being in a coma for weeks in Tehran and after the one-year anniversary of the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini which sparked nationwide protests.
Fair enough. Personally, I’m happy to make a judgement call based on the balance of probabilities, rather than reserving it until all reasonable doubt has been dismissed. It’s not like my opinion has any consequence against them, nor would I be unwilling to change my view if more evidence came to light.
If anyone else had been responsible for her injuries, I’m sure they would have been investigated and something would have been published about it.
And we still don’t know what happened on the train.
I thought it was all but officially certain that she was beaten by Iranian police?
I’d rather not make an assumption. However, if they aren’t releasing footage from the train I doubt it’s because it makes them look good.
