The Republican firebrand is now apologizing to her constituents for her infamous "Beetlejuice" blunder where she was caught on tape vaping and groping with a date.
But in this case, she was already in a lot of trouble before Beetlejuice. This is one of the rare cases where they really might vote for someone else. Might.
I would actually prefer that she wins the primary, then loses the general.
The district is normally R+ double digits. If she loses her primary, her district will likely overwhelmingly vote for whoever the R candidate is. If she wins her primary, there’s a very real chance the seat turns blue for at least the next couple of years.
Is there anyone in her district who is less qualified and more insane than she is, who could win the primary?
I’m honestly not sure if “Less qualified than Lauren Boebert” and “More Insane than Lauren Boebert” are lows that can simultaneously be accomplished by a functioning human being. I mean seriously, how low do you have to get to be an incredibly (physically) attractive Republican woman, running in an R+20 district that has MAGA basically injected directly into their veins, and still be so bad that some of them not only decided to vote for a filthy liberal Democrat last time, but may very well do so again.
That is a spectacular level of fail. You almost have to intentionally try to fail that hard.
