As a non native English speaker this is so relatable. I get these just-so mnemonic mental images all the time. Like the one with the “bashful” girl who has this ultra specific fantasy of bashing her head against everyone else at the ball, but she won’t because ugh that would be so embarrassing.
So angsty.
I don’t know if it’s intended but in French “Flippant” means “Scary”.
It’s a very appropriate title with different meaning in different language
