We are considering replacing our 58" 1080p plasma TV. It has minor to moderate screen burn in from CCTV and hoping the included scrolling program fixes it, but also looking at a new TV. Good upscaling is the most important feature as we still have mostly lower quality videos. Likewise we play ACNH every day so a TV that does good upscaling of the Nintendo Switch is ideal.

If you have any TV recommendations from personal experience, please post it. There is no rush to buy, we are very early in the product research process, and have not yet decided a price range. I did read the budget TV brands do not do a very good job of upscaling. However if ACNH players are using 4K (60 + inch) and happy with their set up, we would like to learn more about it.

Thanks

Joe

I agree with this guy OP. Maybe even look for a deal on a C1. C1 has better upscaling. Brightness is kinda lacking in HDR and SDR compared to the C2 however.

I haven’t used the C3 no looked into it much, so just comparing c1/c2

Thanks for the suggestions, the OLED models look to be the best quality, but I read users that keep their TV on for several hours a day are better off with a QLED. We play ACNH for several hours a day, watch a couple TV shows and have the CCTV cameras on for most of the time we are awake. Maybe 12+ hours a day would be too much for a Oled and we would get screen burn in. On the other hand I saw some like LG have programs that run when the TV is off to keep the burn in from developing. On the other hand they said the old Plasma models were sensitive to screen burn in and ours has been working hard almost every day for several years and only recently started showing signs of burn in that we could see.
