Serious question: what does Israel have against Ireland? Here they’re saying that Hamas should go there, and earlier today there was a different article saying that Israel wasn’t letting Irish nationals evacuate Gaza right now.
To elaborate a little, the British invaded our island and brutalised us for 800 years before we drove them out, we used guerilla warfare to fight our oppressors before finally gaining our independence around 100 years ago, they weaponised a famine against us and so many died that our population still hasn’t returned to the level it was before the great hunger. We can see the parallels to the current conflict and stand in solidarity with the Palestinians.

Ireland has a history of suggesting Israel chills out a bit.
We recognise tyranny when we see it and have a lot solidarity with people living under an oppressive regime that hates them.
