    This album probably doesn’t sound revolutionary now, but at the time there was nothing else like it. It was so raw, like the whole thing had been recorded in one take in someone’s garage and just shipped straight from there. By comparison to all of the severely overproduced music of the 80s it was mind-blowing.

    I will never forget when I heard of this band, riding the bus at a new school in the 90s, and my neighbor Pete (who seemed so much older haha) had this album. I was so confused at the name and had to wait until Napster to learn more.
