This photo was taken all the way back on Monday. There, that’s my confession.

It’s the start of a pair of Eskarina Socks that I’m knitting in the pattern designer’s own yarn, which feels very on purpose but is actually a total coincidence. This project is part of the #DiscworldMAL that is mostly in my Discord and also a bit on Mastodon and omg who can even keep track anymore.

It’s actually a really fun pattern, I’m so used to socks being a simple 2 or 4 round repeat all the way but this has charts and actual variety and you have to pay attention! Gosh.

And the reason it’s not an actual real Wednesday photo, is that very little progress is being made due to this little madam going off on one and trying to jump up on my knee every time I break out the knitting!

    I’m knitting my first tee 😄 I got this yarn on my trip to Spain and didn’t really know what to do with it. I already have shawls and stuff so, heck, I’m gonna try knitting my first proper clothing item. I cast on over the weekend and have been adding rows without much problem. AND my stitches are actually properly knit this time! Thanks to @halfpastgin@feddit.uk for the heads up and to @thegiddystitcher@lemm.ee for the englightening moment that I wasn’t supposed to knit through the back loop 😅 In hindsight I should have done 2x2 ribbing in the necl (pattern indicates 1x1 with ktbl), it doesn’t really look like ribbing as it is (it doesn’t help that I added several rows).

    I’m taking a break from double knitting and I’m doing a brain candy hat (no pattern, just a quick and dirty stripey hat).

      Despite best efforts I cannot get this photo to load past the tips of your knees so I’ll just imagine it’s very pretty because I bet it is 😂
