I saw this instance was defederated with Lemmy World and contacted the admin here.

The reply I got was that they defederated because we “removed our rules against transphobia” which is a total misinterpretation of our Terms of Service.

And to avoid further confusion we added a fair use section which specifically covers this: https://legal.lemmy.world/fair-use/#rules-for-users

Wether or not you decide to federate with Lemmy World is up to you, I just want to make sure there is no misunderstanding here.

Oh, hey, you added some new rules against transphobia after you were defederated for not having any. So, you totally unbanned everyone who brought this issue to your attention in the first place, right? You didn’t ban anyone for pointing out your lack of rules against transphobia and leave them banned even after being forced to address their concerns? If I go to your original post about the new TOS I won’t find anyone who said you removed your rules against transphobia and was banned?

We did this before I even noticed this instance was defederated don’t be daft. They will keep being updated for as long as necessary.

And no we did not unban those that were arguing in bad faith or who didn’t agree to the ToS. You had all your answers served in that thread, not gonna argue with you about the interpretation again.

So you release new rules that don’t protect trans people, you ask for feedback, and you ban anyone who doesn’t agree with them?

        You are simply absurd.
