I have three fans in my house controlled by these remotes and wall switches and the lights are constantly left on when no one is in the room. I would like to shut them off automatically when the room is empty.
I believe the wall switches are just remotes. How can I automate a fan controlled by these? I have a Broadlink RM4 pro that couldn’t learn the buttons. Anyone know what radio frequency these use? Any other ideas? Or do I just need to replace the controllers with something like the TreatLife wall/fan switch…or replace the entire fan with a smart one? Thanks! M

Another option that may be less expensive would be to replace the switch with a smart relay switch. I’ve done this with a few fan models that I have including a DC fan and it works well. The fan controllers go back to their previous state when the Smart switch returns the power. You would have to test this to be sure it would work with your fan controller
