ChatGPT is telling me to go to Antarctica. Not sure about the cost of living there. And besides, I don’t think their food game all that.

Seriously though, where have you spent a considerable amount of time and seen no roaches (the American and German types)?

I’ve definitely seen roaches in Canada in apartment buildings, but thankfully they’re not really flying around outside and coming in the windows like they are in other places.

Try New Zealand. Clean, safe, beautiful country with a relatively low cost of living compared to much of the Western world. Plus, no roaches!

I’m from NZ. They have them - I remember seeing them when I lived in the Hawkes Bay, but not often in other parts

Colombia is súper cheap and while you will see them in the streets Ive never seen a roach in my apartment living for over a year in MedellÍn. I dont think They like the altitude and cooler temps as much as super hot and humid like the caribbean or SEA.

I rarely see them in Australia. There are a lot of other animals and sea creatures trying to kill you though.

I saw them in Sydney and Gold Coast.

Also Australia isn’t typically similar cost of living to Thailand.

I think I saw less than 5 in my 9 months in South America, namely Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Arg. Some places with similar cost of living as Thailand.

Don’t go to Nicaragua. I corned one as big as my hand and he decided to go out swinging.

Roaches are everywhere but if you’re clean and have bug spray and roach traps it’ll help, also don’t live on lower floors if you’re in a condominium you’ll have an easier time. You can consider malaysia as an option

First night in KL, I visited the Chinatown. While eating at an outdoor vendor, I saw a family of roaches chilling not too far from me…

no this is bollocks - I live in the UK and use none of that shite and have never seen a roach, not did I see any in the andes. However if you live in a tropical area - you will see them no matter how much bug spray you sue. Why do people upvite these uniformed posts ? Oh yes because they are also clueless.

Roaches are everywhere. I’m also afraid of them. I find that if you live in an expensive neighbourhood, you don’t see them.
