It could be that they are making this up to support Israel, but far more likely they have similar sources for their information. The consequences for getting caught lying about something like this would be significant.

Fascinating! Thanks for the link. This means the mere existence of the tunnels isn’t enough to prove that they are in use by Hamas. I suspect they are, but I suppose they will have to continue to provide more evidence of that to conclusively prove it.

For the record, it appears they were telling the truth. CNN just sent a reporter to Al-Shifa who verified Israel’s claims.
