I’m looking to update my home with smart switches for lights and ceiling fans (non-variable). I do not have neutral wires, so my options are either Lutron Caseta (expensive) or GE Cync (unreliable).

With the iPhone 15 Pro (which I have) coming with a Thread radio, I can see more smart devices coming with Thread radios. I don’t have an immediate need to “smarten” these switches, and I can wait a few months if needed. Last thing I want to do is invest time installing these switches when Thread/Matter is just around the corner.
