I need recommendations for a VoIP monitoring tool that will work on a Windows computer to mainly show jitter, MOS, packet loss. This is for my home VoIP network so I would prefer something that is free.
Here is my current setup and equipment.
I would prefer something on Windows; however, if there are no options for Windows, I do have a spare PC that I can install another OS on.
Look at Homer and VoIPMonitor. I am not sure about Homer but VoipMonitor runs on Linux. Maybe you can run it one Linux subsystem on Windows 11?
How did you imagine you would receive the call statistics in that scenario?
Can you pull a pcap from the ubiquiti? Maybe run it through a Wireshark Voip filter? What does the call ladder look like? What do your traceroutes look like on a basic level, and where is the voip server in this scenario? Are you troubleshooting something in this scenario?
You’re more likely to experience quality of service problems on the WAN than on your local LAN, assuming youve configured your LAN appropriately for voice. Not much you can do about QoS on WAN.
