@NuPNuA @thehomespundays not all societies organize themselves around selling and buying products or services, i was thinking about gift economy or how some other societies have organized themselves around mutual aid and shared work … i cant see a place for advertising in these kind of societies… i usually think about ants and how they use pheromones to signal their findings… as far as i am concerned advertising is as if some ants decided to fake signals in their own benefit vs anthill
