Hi, hoping somebody can point me in the right direction here. I am a filmmaker working on a movie about the cam girl industry. In the film our main character signs up to a cam girl website. We are building that website and need to source photos for the homepage of various girls in lingerie, nude, topless, etc.

The issue I am having is all the stock photography sites I am checking have restricted use clauses such as “You can never use iStock content for: Pornographic, obscene or libelous works” or similar variations.

The film is not pornographic but the industry and subject it addresses is. So my question is are there any stock image websites that would allow such use of their images? Or is my best bet trying to find a photographer who takes such images and making a deal with them? This fake website only appears for a few seconds in the film so though I am happy to pay for the rights to photos, it is not something I want to blow the budget on or spend a lot of time trying to sort out. Any suggestions welcome.

Pixabay’s usage restrictions are virtually identical to everyone else’s including iStock.

" You cannot use any Content on or in conjunction with anything pornographic, obscene, offensive, illegal, immoral, infringing, defamatory, hateful, threatening or libellous in nature "

The clause is there specifically to keep the images from showing up on adult web sites, which is exactly the use the OP wants (even if the site is fake and made-up just for the film)

Yes hire a photographer AND a model/s (or the actress if appropriate) where everyone has the full understanding of what the works are being used for. An alternative could be if there is an AI image generator that doesn’t block adult content but I’m not sure if that exists as it would be a total car wreck.

Who is this “We” you’re talking about? What’s your name, company name? Etc

    Neither.

If this is just going to flash by with little time for critical examination of each image then why not just generate the content yourself? There are plenty available at the end of a google search. They produce results good enough to get thousands of thirsty followers on instagram so they’d be more than good enough to use in a film where viewers aren’t even being given the chance to really look at them before they’re gone.

Double check the usage restrictions (if any) of generated content and just make whatever you want.

No licensing issues, no model records to maintain etc etc.

That language means you can’t make actual porn with it. I’ve worked on a show where we used stock images for fake girlie magazine covers. Have your legal department look over the TOS and sign off on you using them

Create the images you need but make sure the models you hire or participate are aware. Have that listed on your release form and have them initial it. I say this because a while back I watched a video by the Copyright Zone Guys. (They are Copyright attorneys). They described a case where an agency used a stock photo in an ad in Times Square and that depicted them as having AIDS (or some other sensitive subject). The model successfully sued.

The other thing about capturing your own images is you can ensure everyone is 18 years or older.

Wikimedia Commons. You should contact the authors to make sure it’s ok though.

You could have your photos generated by AI. There are AI generators that can generate adult pix. There is no copyright on AI images and with your prompt - the image creation command - you determine what is generated

There is no copyright on AI images

Nitpick: Be sure to check that first as some of the online generators absolutely do restrict usage of the content you create using their tools.

sites like BentBox, ManyVids, Clips4sale have content for purchase.

Adultlabs sells content they created to adult websites. They have a solo girl section which should fill more than you would ever need for very low cost. All models Euro/Russian

https://gfy.com is a forum for adult content producers and webmasters. There is a content market sub-forum.

I used to have my content for sale at AdultCentro, but they closed a few years ago. If you want to DM with specifics about what you are looking for I might have US model content available to suit your needs.
