The Paper Mario 3 that was scrapped by Miyamoto because the gameplay was too similar to TTYD. You fool! That’s exactly what we wanted! And we never got a real RPG Paper Mario game again…
The Origami King had a cool story and excellent music, but I thought the combat was horrible. Mid to end game I was paying the crowd to solve all the combat for me. The Thousand Year Door remains one of my all-time favorite turn-based RPGs
And Thousand Year Door was quite similar to the original. That’s how sequels generally work! You want the same gameplay with maybe some features added/expanded upon and a new story.

I want them to do another paper Mario like the one on the Wii. Imo that’s the best one
I have a hard time forgiving Nintendo for what they did to Paper Mario
I never played any after ttyd. What changed?

Origami king seemed so cool expect for the combat. Absolutely worst part of the game and ruined it for me. I sold my copy.
TTYD is to this day, still my favorite video game ever, and I started playing games as a kid in the late eighties so yeah.
Only Red Alert 2 comes in as a close second.
Such a stupid reason the cancel a game. Mario Galaxy 2 was fantastic because it was similar to Galaxy 1!
