This is what I normally get into

Halo, state of decay 2, some cod, pokemon, a bit of minecraft I don’t like it this days. Have played boarderlands. Witvher 3 and cyberpunk 2077 I did enjoy the many Simpson’s game growing up as well.

I mostly played combat evolved a lot

What other game genres to try

I find I struggle with rpgs and singleplayer I’ll never finish them.

I have finished the spider man game but it felt easier to finish tbh.

I’ve tried roguelites but tbh idk I don’t think I really liked top down games.

I did mostly grow up with halo so I didn’t branch out enough tbh.

I mainly want a game or games to keep my brain busy tbh.

Survival games are fun but majority of these barely feel finished, I did like state of decay 2 though just wish we were able to build our own bases.

Ready or not, the Forest and sons of the Forest, red dead 2, all great choices, some story based, some less

I have a suggestion for you then, Forza motorsport 5 while listening to YouTube or a podcast. I usually listen to science podcasts while play, my brain is 100% locked it won’t wonder around. Just set a time limit because you may lose sense of time and will be fairly tired after it.

Try 7 days to die. Survival crafting zombie game with a similar vibe to Minecraft. The RPG system isn’t too complicated, there’s pretty good progression, you build bases to protect against the horde that appears every 7 days (you can tune it to longer or shorter if you want), and there’s a light farming system similar to minecraft, and you raid houses and buildings for supplies while completing missions given by the traders. With a friend or two, this game will easily keep you busy if you’re into this style of game.

i can tell your type… Musou genre. You beat up waves of enemies and a few powerful enemies to complete the objectives on a variety of maps. Youre the boss in the game, so its mindless fun, there’s still that sense of accomplishment though going after the mission goals and getting materials to make your characters even stronger. I recommend one piece pirate warriors 4, get the deluxe edition if its on sale so u get the 9 dlc characters. Also, there’s dragon quest heroes 2.

Honestly, check Warframe out, it’s a extremely fun, infinite time sink that gets updated constantly (I’m 170 hours in and I haven’t even unlocked all the mechanics yet)

It’s getting cross save really soon so you could even play with the same account on multiple systems, if you’re into that

Some games I enjoy, both single- and multiplayer, are Deep Rock Galactic, Warframe and Monster Hunter

Try Risk of Rain 2. It’s a rougelite but not top down, tons of replayability because of mod support in addition to an outstanding base game.
