Surely it would place a massive asterisk on all the trophies won during his time at Man City? In future discussions on the greatest manager would this be a talking point which stains our perception on him? Or will he still be lauded as the greatest by some despite the wider context?
Would it really change how we feel about his accomplishments? The Knocks against him are always the financial dominance his teams hold over the league, so finding out that the finances were fishy doesn’t really change that. I can’t imagine finding out that they used sketchy financials to fund the team changes how we feel about the on field product when we were aware that they’d spent a shitload anyway.
Maybe I’m just misunderstanding the charges.
