    Shouldn’t the 7800 be compared to the 4080? And shouldnt the 7700 be compared to the 4070? Am I misunderstanding something or are we comparing apples to oranges here?

      Why do you think that? If they outperform their competitor model and are cheaper they should be compared, regardless of the marketing number not having the same digit.

        Hmm fair point, I suppose I’m thinking too “Red vs Green”, as opposed to practicality. I retract my earlier comment.

      Apples to oranges. The RTX 4080 competitor is the RX 7900 XTX. The RTX 4070 Ti competitor is the RX 7900XT.

      Logically the next thing to come out is the competitor to the RTX 4070, and a direct market replacement for the RX 6900 series and RX 6800XT. That should be the RX 7800.

      If anything, it’s NVIDIA that has confused everyone by hiking up prices and the naming scheme.
